The French do not call it French toast, you know. It is, as translated, “lost bread,” because it is made from stale bread, though I’m not sure how you can tell when French bread has gone stale. It always seems that way to me. After all, even the French call it a stick. But that may be because of the shape, rather than the texture.or lunch I made some beef stew with dumplings. For the dumplings, I followed a recipe from http://www.allrecipes.com. I won’t do that again. I use a biscuit recipe and the dumplings come out fluffy not like the lump of dough that these were.ormally Ella and I walk to the mail together. However, today I received notification that my VA prescription had been delivered. Ella was napping. Therefore, I walked there by my self. Later in the afternoon, both of it’s went for a walk around the Stocktank.
