2020 June 03 Grandpa Wilson Shortcut

Welcome, family and friends to our daily journal,

from Liberty Hill, Texas

he sun arose in a haze. I know just how it feels. I often wake in a haze. Have you ever been dreaming and then realized that you are no longer dreaming, but thinking? Those soft-slides into consciousness are so disconcerting to me. I’m glad that they are rare. Normally, I wake like a switch was thrown. I was off, now I’m on.RANDIES meet via zoom again today. The meeting went well today. In attendance was Louine, Donna Pr., Donna Po., Karen, Bill, Ethel, Wanda, Ella, and Tom. We are going to continue, for now, teleconferencing. Email will still be used to update and inform but it is so precious to see add hear each other, even if we can’t hug.Ella and I, as usual, drove to the church parking lot to had a better/stronger signal. Since we are here, we will stay until eleven o’clock.Every year the Grandies give a copy of the book “Jesus Calling” to the graduating seniors. In years past, a small, ceremony was held in their honor. This year, due to the coronavirus, it will be a drive up, get a photograph taken, receive the book, and drive on.peaking of driving on, that’s exactly what we did. Because the truck had been started and stopped so much this morning, I decided to take a long, winding, hilly, and round about way home, a grandpa Wilson shortcut. (My kids’ grandfather was known for going the long way around and calling it a shortcut.) Instead of going six miles home, we went almost forty two and a half miles. That should give the battery, tires, belts, pumps, and whatever enough of a workout to last the rest of the week.Ribs, pork and beans, potato salad, and the last of the beer bread for lunch. The rest of the day was much calmer. Thanks again for stopping by. Share this with your friends. See y’all again tomorrow. Stay safe. Remember, we love you.
