The very first stop was Casey’s for breakfast sandwiches
8:37 and we passed into Missouri
At 10:00 we were going in Abby’s around Saint Joseph, Missouri. Ella woke up shortly thereafter.
At 10:24 a.m. we stopped for fuel and potty break. Checkout the video below of the deluxe bathroom.
1106 and we just crossed into Kansas
At a little past 12 we stopped in Topeka Kansas at Long John Silver’s. It was not dine,-in. We sat in the truck in the shade of a tree
1:24 p.m. fueled at Casey’s in Lyndon. Kansas. Much much cleaner bathrooms than the last stop.
2:32 At Yates Center Kansas we stopped at Dollar General looking for a blind spot mirror. No luck
At 3:06 p.m. birthday with Hill
4:23 welcome to Oklahoma
4:26 p.m. we encountered many miles of single lane traffic. Notice that the “Flaggers” have lost their jobs to technology.
With written instructions for those who have never before encountered a traffic light.
5:00 we took a McDonald’s break, in Pawhuska, Ok.
We didn’t make it too far down the road from Pawhuska before the truck died. Ironically, we were able to coast into a cemetery.
We watched the sunset over the cemetery.
Matt from St. Michaels towing arrived to rescue us.
We are spending the night I a motel in Mannford Oklahoma. Matt, the tow truck driver, took us to the motel before dropping the truck at the repair shop. We will call early tomorrow to learn the cause, the cure, and the cash.
