***The*** reality of not having our truck hit us today. We had to cancel Ella’s oncologist visit for today plus both of our dental appointments for next week. Uber would have cost nearly $75 round trip for today’s doctor visit.

***Chicken*** and noodles over mashed potatoes, peas, and canned peaches for lunch. Not as good as homemade. But it’ll keep the bellybutton away from the backbone.

This afternoon Jenny came and for us. We went with her to her place to workout a plan forward. As I said yesterday, Ella and I were kind of frozen in place. A type of depression, I guess. Overwhelmed by the task ahead and the feeling of hopelessness. Every once in a while, I need to be reminded that I’m not in charge. “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.’” — Jeremiah 29:11. I said that I knew that someone needed to hear my sermon about having patience. It was me. 3 POINTS WHILE WE WAIT 1. Keep praying and believing. 2. Keep expecting and watching for the answer. 3. Don’t overlook the answer when it comes, it may not look like you expected.
