2022 January 28

Day.        54°     Sunny. Highs in the mid 50s. North winds 15 to 20 mph.
Night     35⁰     Clear cold with lows in the lower 30s. Northwest winds around 5 mph, becoming west after midnight.

Take two jalapeno beef sausage links cut them into smallish pieces and brown in bacon grease. One half head of cabbage cut into strips approximately the length and width of egg noodles. About a cup of very hot water, with a teaspoon of Better Than Bullion chicken soup starter, poured into the skillet to lift all the flavorful crispy bits (deglaze). The cabbage goes into the Instapot first, sausage on top, and hot water mixture poured over it all. I wanted the cabbage extra tender so I pressure cooked it for twenty minutes. Half that time may have been enough. Or it could have been slow cooked for five or six hours.

Serve up the finished sausage and cabbage with some nice crusty bread smeared with butter. Nothing better to soak up the pot liquor.
We needed to have the total money Ella has spent on prescriptions in the last 12 months. The housing application for Burnet needed that information. I had mine on hand but Ella’s was not to be found at home.
While we were out, I also made multiple copies of the commonly requested documents to accompany applications
