It was a quiet morning, perfect for preparing for Sunday school. We have a workbook but I also research and bring more information and insight to the subject. Currently we are digging into a deeper understand of and appreciation for the Lord’s Prayer.

I’ve become accustomed to using the dishwasher. And I don’t like it. For years I fought against using dishwashers for two reasons. One: people wash dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. It makes no sense to me. I don’t do it. Dirty dishes go in and clean come out. If they don’t come out clean, then I wash them. Two and most importantly: I enjoy doing dishes. No really I do. I like having my hands in the warm soapy water. I enjoy the sense of accomplishment of turning dirty dishes into clean dishes. And three (I know, I said two reasons but this just occurred to me): it brings memories of my mother and I doing dishes together. Usually I did the rinse and dry. However, on occasions, I was allowed to do the washing. So today, I did dishes by hand and I enjoyed it
