The Weather is the News

WINTER STORM WARNING
REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CST THIS EVENING
WHATSignificant icing expected with a mix of freezing rain and sleet. Ice accumulations of 1/10 to 1/4 inch on average expected, with isolated higher amounts up to 1/2 possible. Total sleet accumulations of 1/4 to 3/4 inch possible, especially across the Hill Country. In addition, winds could gust as high as 35 mph and produce wind chill values that range from near 0 to the teens today through Friday night.

Breakfast was french toast with a raspberry cream cheese topping. Sorry, I couldn’t find an image of french toast. And I didn’t take one this morning. So, I present to you something that isn’t today, but it’s French.

This is our prayer for today and should be included in our everyday prayers. Don’t you think?

Pork steak, roasted potatoes and carrots, lettuce salad, steamed cabbage wedges, and peaches made for a heart midday cold day meal.

IMMEDIATELY after lunch, we went to the great room for a “Coffee with Eileen”. One of the residents has started a weekly Thursday afternoon gettogether. It is just an informal chance to get to know some of the other inmates — er — residents — neighbors. Let me refer to back to today’s prayer. ^

We didn’t get much snow. However, everything is coated in ice. What appears to be a dusting of snow on the sidewalk is in fact a dusting of snow under a quarter inch of very slick ice. Yes, I went out to check it out while taking photos.
This is today’s sunset photo.
