The third Monday of February marks Presidents Day, a federal holiday commemorating the nations’ 45 commanders in chief. The observance usually falls on or near George Washington’s February 22 birth date and the holiday is still officially known as Washington’s Birthday. By the mid-1980s, Presidents’ Day became the common term and continues to be called as such to this day.

In with the food we received from Hill Country Community Ministries was a package of “vegan sausage”. This morning I decided to try it. I have to think that the only function of this item is to convince vegans that they haven’t missed anything by not eating real sausage. Into the trash they go. Not only do they not taste like sausage (couldn’t they have at least added sausage seasoning?) the flavor was somewhere between non-existent and nasty🤢.

🧺 Ella had the last load in the washer just about noon. 🧺

We had homestyle turkey and egg noodles over mashed potatoes, green beans, and canned peaches, then the cherry/pecan galatte for lunch.

Some days there just isn’t much to write about because nothing much happened. This is one of those days.

Pancake for supper just to break the cold cereal before bedtime habit.
