Rain, drizzle, rain, drizzle, and on it goes.

Three or four games of Fast Track played after lunch. Then Ella watched Downton Abbey while I read my Bible. I had started some potato soup slow cooking, directly after breakfast.

Day four of Reading The Bible In 90 Days. Today began with Genesis 47 where I was startled to find that it was Joseph who enslaved all of Egypt to Pharaoh. I’ve read through to Exodus 7 where the recounting of the tribes of the Israelites has been made. God has once again commanded Moses to go to Pharaoh. And once again Moses has argued that because of his halting speech, God should send someone else.

The potato soup, topped with a dollop of sour cream, was nice comfort food on a gloomy day.

I baked six chocolate cookies this afternoon. Why six? Because that is what fit in the Instapot. It was nice. It took thirteen minutes. No preheating the oven for twenty minutes before beginning to bake. And yes, if I were doing six dozen cookies, I would use the oven. But for a snack, it’s great. And I have plenty of dough in the refrigerator to do it again and again.
