Pastor Michele was out sick today 0(not Covid) but had recorded her sermon for projection and broadcast. Lessons learned by necessaty over the last couple of years have made us all a little more tech savvy.
We came home from church and had pork roast, egg noodles, green beans, cottage cheese and applesauce or Jell-O.

I even had time for a short nap before returning to church.

There were four of us to assist with our monthly ingathering of food etcetera for Operation Liberty Hill as well as collecting aluminum cans. We had taken our can crusher with us. That worked out well as we were able to condense six tall trash bags of non crushed cans into one large bag of crushed cans. We had an assembly (disassembly?) line going with two (sometimes three) people removing pull tabs and one person (me) crushing.

Food for the food pantry at Operation Liberty Hill.

Clothing etcetera for the Thrift store at Operation Liberty Hill.

Most of the crushed cans to be sold to the metal recycler. Money’s to be used for the Grandies various mission projects.

Today’s reading began at Numbers chapter twenty-one where the Israelites destroyed the Canaanites at the Negeb. I read through Numbers thirty-two where the Gadites and the Reubenites came and spoke to Moses, and promised to fight along with the rest of the Israelites but requested to settle just outside of the Promised Land.
