Day 76⁰ Mostly cloudy this morning then partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Breezy with highs in the upper 70s. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
Night 49° Mostly clear. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Lows in the upper 40s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of rain 20 percent.
This was the day of our monthly grocery pickup. Good is good. We gathered these, took them home, and put most of them away. So we shall eat for another month. We will share with our neighbors. Tomorrow is when we will receive more fresh produce. This we will also share.
Today’s reading began at
1 Samuel 3 “Now the boy Samuel was ministering to the Lord under Eli. The word of the Lord was rare in those days; visions were not widespread.” And read through 1 Samuel 16 “And whenever the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, David took the lyre and played it with his hand, and Saul would be relieved and feel better, and the evil spirit would depart from him.“ This is Day 20 of 90. However, I’m a few days ahead of schedule.
This coming Sunday we are going to be studying “Lead us not into temptation.” As if, “Forgive us as we have forgiven,” didn’t cause some real soul searching, now we are getting into that area that no one wants to look too closely at.
