2022 March 15

Day.        72⁰     Sunny. Highs in the mid 70s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Night     46°     Clear. Lows in the lower 40s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

Sunshine through the fence.

We stopped at Goodwill for Ella to look for a communion plate (which we no longer need, since we’re no longer preaching at Cutty’s campground) Evidently “Lead us not into temptation” included Goodwill.

I baked the three loaves of Soda bread that we’ll be taking to the Saint Patrick’s Day meal at Hills of Leander.

We received produce from “Fresh Produce for All” and have most of it to the apartment for pantry.

I went to Over The Hill Gang to deliver the new padlock and keys for our storage shed. I arrived just in time to help Merel and Monica cut the old padlock. Things in the shed were better organized and better stocked than I expected. Now with the new lock we shouldn’t find ourselves locked out again.

1 Samuel 17 begins with Goliath taunting the Israelites. The reading ended at 1 Samuel 28 shortly after King Saul has a medium call up the ghost of Samuel.

Then it was to Brighter Days food pantry at the Leander Church of Christ. This is a once a month, for seniors only, food pantry.

The first thing we received at Brighter Days was flowers.

This much more produce left us with more dry beans, walnuts, spaghetti, and canned goods to donate to the food pantry at the apartments. People were picking them up as fast I would put them down. I don’t know if it’s need or greed. I suppose the same could be said for us. Just to be clear, this is our food for the month.

After taking care of the groceries we returned to Arik and Jenny’s to look after the dogs.

Should I put solar panels on my car, like this guy did? I mean, why? What reason would you have for mounting a solar panel on the roof of your car?
