I just started reading through First Chronicles with its genealogical lists. I’ll admit that I’m “cheating” a little. I’m listening to an audio file with someone reading through all of those names. Oh yes, I am reading the same Bible version as the audio file. I am reading. However, I would have been bogged down with trying to pronounce all of those unfamiliar names. So I’ve solved that problem.
But the biggest problem I’m having is “what value do I to gain from this section of holy scripture?” I believe the apostle Paul when he wrote to Timothy that “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.“ (2 Timothy 3:26-27) I’m taking a day off from my quest to read the entire Bible in 90 days. I’m going to spend time with the Lord seeking how these biblical books are to be profitable to me.

Rudolf the red nose pickup has gone to his new home today. We are sad to see him go. He has been a good ride for the last seventeen years. However, with the transmission shot and too costly to repair, it was time for him to retire.

We played several games of Fast Track before leaving to take Ella to the mall.

Dasher the HHR was changing from silver to tan (dust) so I ran him through a car wash. He looks better now.

I arrived at Over The Hill Gang at about 11:10 and no one was there. I waited a half hour but when no one showed up, I left.

I didn’t need gas but, at $3.699 a gallon, that’s the cheapest that I’ve seen lately. I don’t expect it to drop any time soon. At any rate we are good to go for the next four hundred miles
