🌞Day         83⁰     Sunny. Highs in the mid 80s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.
Night     56°     Mostly clear in the evening then becoming cloudy. Lows in the lower 60s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

For breakfast we had pancakes, ham and eggs. Yes, I make square pancake.

Ella worked from 9 to 12 today. It was the Caring Bunny time with special needs children. There were 17 reservations but only 2 arrived. I’m wondering if they misread or didn’t read the instructions as to which door they were to enter. Only one mall door was unlocked for this event that began hours before the mall stores were open.

Sunday school was interesting today. Because Ella had to be working at the mall at nine this morning, and because we have only one vehicle, my plan was to take her to work and stay until she was off work. I could watch the worship service through Facebook.
I had asked Gary to take over the Sunday school class since I wasn’t going to be there. This morning I saw an email where he, because he was ill, was asking a couple of other people to teach the class.
So, instead of havering someone else come in unprepared with the lesson material we are using, I asked Ella if I could take her to work WAY EARLY so that I had time to make it to church by 9 o’clock. She agreed. I took her and waited to make sure she could get in the mall that early.
Then scooted down the highway to Cross Tracks Church. I arrived in the parking lot at nine on the nose. After all of that it was disappointing that only one person came to Sunday school. She and I had some very good discussion over Wesley’s question, “Did the Bible live in you today?”

Cross Tracks Church today’s sermon was Ruthless Elimination of Hurry: Practicing Slowing

After church i headed back to the mall to recover my bride. I stopped only long enough to fill the car with gasoline. With her successfully recovered, we headed to home. We had just enough time to eat the stew which I had put in the Instapot slow cooker before breakfast. As soon as lunch was over we headed back to Cross Tracks Church.

It was time for our monthly ingathering of food, thrift items, and aluminum cans. The photos above are only the non-food items and cans that were donated. I will take them to the thrift store and recycler this week.
The food items were all loaded into Charlotte’s SUV to be taken to Operation Liberty Hill’s food pantry on Tuesday. Some items were also loaded into Ann’s car to be taken to the local school.
I crushed 8 bags of aluminum cans. Once crushed they filled one large trash bag.

Psalms 1  Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers.
Psalms 24 Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty— he is the King of glory. Day 40
