There were four of us for Grandies today. It was good to see Wanda back with us. I’m concerned about Charlotte. She has been having dizzy spells for a month or so. She was dizzy this morning which is why she wasn’t here today. Anne, Ella, and I played canasta after the meeting. Wanna had an appointment. The canasta game stopped before there was an actual winner, Ella and I had a grocery order scheduled from Walmart. It surprises me that, in spite of all the free food we receive, we still spent over $150 today. To be fair, very little of our “grocery” order was food. The bulk of the cost was over the counter medications, vitamins, and supplements.
Nothing else quite compares to homemade cornbread topped with homemade ham and beans. Although, cornbread topped with maple syrup or honey comes a close second.
