Three years ago today we had returned to Iowa from Texas and found our campsite knee deep in maple leaves. Not fluffy piles of leaves that are fun to belly flop into. No these were soggy packed down mushy leaves that had been buried under feet of snow all winter. It is not something that I’ll miss now that we live year around in Texas.
