Again it was Anne, Ella, and I at Grandies. I really keep hoping and praying that our friends will come out of their hidey-holes and join us. If they’re waiting for Covid to be gone, they’re in for a long wait. It is out in the world now and likely to never go away. However, we’ve survived the worst of it and it is now (more our less) under control.

 2 Timothy 1:7
New International Version
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
New Living Translation
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

We stayed and played canasta after the meeting, as usual. Another reason I wish our friends would join us … We could play partners, which I find more fun.

After Grandies, we went to Operation Liberty Hill and delivered items for the Kids Summer Snack Program.
The Texas Hunger Initiative, a capacity-building collaborative project based at the School of Social Work at Baylor University, notes that one in four children in the state does not know whether or not he or she will have food for their next meal. With school not in session, the summer months are the peak months for Operation Liberty Hill. For many families in the area, school can’t begin again soon enough. But not necessarily because of their children’s eagerness to resume their studies, or to see their friends, or become re-engaged in activities. For many, it’s a matter of having a meal. – for more information follow the link https://www.lhindependent.com/news/operation-liberty-hill-tackles-area-hunger-adds-summer-snack-program/article_7425e3e6-8cf3-59a6-bc98-8585420dbbac.html

Day 78
John 15:1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
John 21:25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

Today we did very little all afternoon and evening.
