Day 81
Acts 17:1 When Paul and his companions had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a Jewish synagogue.
Acts 28:31 He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!

There were about a dozen for coffee today. They did attempt to use the conversation starter cards (see yesterday’s post). Unfortunately, not everyone was given a chance to respond before they moved to the next card. I had envisioned asking one question a day and having a true group discussion on not only answering the question but also exploring why they answered as they did and how they felt about the situation that illicited the answer. In other words, the idea was to begin a true conversation that would help us learn/understand more about each other. Well, it was the first attempt, so maybe it’ll get better as we go.

After Coffee With Friends we drove to Walgreens for Ella’s meds. Thanks to the different prescription that she asked the urologist for, she saved $124. The medication to which she was switched had a zero co-pay.

We went to Murphy USA at Walmart to fill Dasher the HHR’s tank with gasoline. Because we are Walmart Plus members, we saved ten cents a gallon. That came to about a dollar thirty in savings. Now, based on the fact that I fill up about a third as often as when we drove Rudolf the red nose pickup AND Dasher’s tank is about 15 gallons compared to Rudolf’s 25 gallon tank … I’m spending a lot less on gasoline.
