We had some really good class discussion generated by the question de jour.

Cross Tracks Church Experiencing God

The balloons for Pentecost Sunday were just the start. What a beautiful mess was made in church today. Follow the link above to see the whole service.

After church we needed to purchase gasoline. With our Walmart Plus subscription we get a ten cents a gallon reduction at the Murphy USA stations so it was a no brainer to head to Walmart.

I also needed to purchase food for Thursday’s Over The Hill Gang’s meal. I’ve ordered fried chicken and rolls from Golden Chick. Today I purchased fixin’s for a jello fruit salad topped with cool whip and bananas. Coleslaw veggies and dressing and also bacon for the pinto beans.

Next, we drove through Burger King and picked up lunch.

Then it was back to Liberty Hill and the OTHG building. I cut the 3 pounds of bacon into smaller portions and put them into the freezer. That way we can take out just what we need to brown for that day. We will go back on Wednesday to prepare the coleslaw and jello.

Then we headed back to the church for Grandies monthly food drive for Operation Liberty Hill. We also received boxes of clothing and such for their thrift store. A half dozen or more bags of aluminum cans were also donated.
Our Chevy HHR was backed full with cans and thrift store items. So, we left the food donations at the church. We will take them to OLH on Wednesday.
When we arrived home we unloaded the cans because tomorrow is Ella and my monthly food allotment from Hill Country Community Mission and we needed to make room.

Doing Theology from Below is also learning how to read the text through the eyes of Jesus as our Rabbi. In other words, Jesus is our living hermeneutic or interpretive lens on the text.
