Jerry, Mari, Wanda, Anne, Ella and I at Grandies today. It was nice to catch up with J&M today. We stayed and played canasta. We didn’t play to the final count because one team conceded that they were beaten.

After Grandies, Ella and I went to the Over The Hill Gang’s building and did some prep work for tomorrow’s luncheon. I mixed up the coleslaw and cooked some bacon to go into the beans

Ella made lime jello with sliced pears. It reminds me of a school of fish in a pond.

Here are the beans waiting for the bacon to cook and add flavor to the sauce.

Our final leg of today’s journey took us to Operation Liberty Hill where we unloaded these donated items for the thrift store. Now we have room to load the food items donated on Sunday. Then those will also be donated to OLH. Once the food is delivered we can load the aluminum cans that we also donated. We will be taking those to the recycler soon. I don’t know just when, but soon.

Today, we’ll focus more on what it means to read the text through the eyes of Jesus. Perhaps the clearest example of this is the bible study that happened on Easter day. It took place on the Road to Emmaus (Luke 24:15).
