Day rain     chance 20%     89°     Partly cloudy. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
Night     69°     Partly cloudy. Less humid with lows in the lower 70s. North winds 10 to 15 mph. 

Evidently there was quite a lightening storm last night … that we slept through. According to the coffee klatch this morning, there were many lightening strikes very close to the apartments. Power was knocked out in the area, but didn’t affect us.

We played a couple games of Fast Track while waiting to go to coffee this morning.

There were about a dozen of us gathered this morning. Ella and I left a little early because our new-to-us machine machine arrived.


Installing the new machine went very easily because of the work I did yesterday unhooking and moving the old machine.

Reflect
How did God care for the people throughout their forty years in the desert? What warning is given if the people fail to obey the LORD?  Have you ever experienced consequences as a result of not acting according to the will of God

A pot of beans cooking down, concentrating the flavor. They will become baked beans for Thursdays Over The Hill Gang’s lunch. We are celebrating Independence Day and the start of summer.

It is trash pickup day. Actually, it is one of the days when the trash is picked up outside our door. Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays we bag the trash in the approved trash container, tie it shut and set it outside the door along with any flattened cardboard boxes.
