It’s a little hazy this morning, though it doesn’t show up on the photo.

We choose to do the grocery shopping for the OVER THE HILL GANG today. The rest of the week is so busy that I wanted to be sure to have time to prep the meatloaf.

We took the groceries to the Over The Hill Gang building in Liberty Hill. I mixed the egg, salt pepper, bread crumbs, and oatmeal together then I mixed together the beef broth, Rotel, ketchup and diced pepper and added it to bread crumbs etcetera. Finally, with good clean hands, I worked in ten pounds of ground beef. Once it was mixed, I placed it into a large baking pan that had been coated with cooking spray. Finally it was topped with a ketchup coating. It is now wrapped in cling film and resting in the refrigerator. Thursday morning it will go into the oven.
While we were there, we emptied the ice cube trays into a gallon size ziplock bag. Then the trays were refilled and placed into the freezer.
The mixing bowls, cutlery, and utensils were washed, rinsed, and placed in the drainer.

Ella needed to stop at Dollar Tree to spend the $3 given to her for the purpose of buying bingo gifts.

A nice hearty stew is one that is more meat and vegetables than sauce. You could almost eat it with a fork. But don’t the sauce is too good to pass up.
