Six pounds of uncooked spaghetti noodles were cooked in salted water with a little veritable oil (to stop the starch foam from forming).
Meanwhile the meat sauce (that I prepared from ten pounds of hamburger yesterday) was reheated.
Once the noodles were mostly cooked, they were stained and added to the meat sauce.
The pans were tightly covered with foil and the electric range was turned off. There they say for 20 to 30 minutes before being moved to the serving table.
We left home shortly after eight this morning so that we could arrive at Over The Hill to get the meat sauce warmed and the water boiling for the spaghetti. I split the sauce between two pans to allow room for the noodles.
We also got the tables set with salt, pepper, and napkins. The trays with plates and plastic forks stacked and ready. The ice tea and water are in the dispensers with added ice.
It is not quite ten o’clock as I enter these paragraphs. Soon I’ll start the spaghetti to cooking. Once it is cooked, I’ll add it to the trays of meat sauce.

We served twenty six people their lunch today. Afterward most played bingo or 42 dominoes.

A lot of people worked at packaging leftovers for people to take home. Others cleared away the tables. And still others washed and dried dishes.

These are examples of the “Kindness Rocks” crafts that we are hoping to teach people to make. The class will be on Tuesday September 6th at ten a. m.

And, as usual, I called bingo at the apartments this evening.
