Today the apartment management
hosted a barbeque. The residents
brought side dishes and desserts

Okay, it was advertised as a barbeque. However, nothing was BBQ. It was just grilled. If there was ever a place where people should know the difference between grilling and barbequing, I’d think it would be Texas. That’s the end of my rant. I am thankful for a meal I didn’t have to prepare.

Today I began preparing the car for our vacation trip to Iowa. I took two sleeping bags and some outdoor seat cushion to the vehicle. The backseats were laid flat to expand the cargo area. The rest deck (over the spare tire storage) can be raised about eighteen inches. So I did. That gives us another level for luggage etcetera. I then unrolled the sleeping bags and stretched them out. I also loaded two camping chairs as a just in case.
