Thinking that they wouldn’t last until we returned, on August 25th we ate the last of the potatoes, eggs, and milk. I was amazed to find that the few slices of bread we left were still eatable. For breakfast, I made today, thawed some ham slices and reconstitute some preferred eggs from our emergency food stores.

lettuce salad was available.

Thirty two were in attendance for today’s Over The Hill Gang luncheon. Most stayed after lunch for games (mahjong, 42 dominos, bingo, and Five Crowns). Ella played bingo and I played 5 Crowns.
Ella had some medications ready for pickup at Walgreens so we did.
We then did some Walmart shopping for essentials (milk and eggs) for us. While there, I also purchased some ham steaks, dry Great Northern beans, and lettuce for next Thursdays OTHG.
Before we left on vacation, I had made arrangements for someone to talk my place calling bingo. I didn’t think I’d be back tonight. I was really hoping that I could just rest this evening. However, the person, who was going to cover for me, knew I was back and assumed I was going to host the bingo. They didn’t show up. So, rather than relaxing, I called bingo

Goodnight and God bless.
