We had a little rain early in the morning and then a more substantial rain this afternoon.
My alarm went off at 4:30 this morning. I was originally scheduled for cataract surgery at 5:30 a.m. today. I postponed it until after Christmas. But I forgot to cancel the alarm. I shut it down and went to sleep until 8:30.
Ella had already started a load of laundry and was busy crushing aluminum cans.
By the time I had pancakes and eggs ready for breakfast, she had finished crushing the whole large bag of cans.
It was game night at the apartments
There were four or five tables of games and players.
Then one of the men got up walked about seven or eight feet and passed out.
Several people attempted to get him on his feet. One of the women commanded, “Don’t pick him up. Get him comfortable on the floor.”.
While someone went to get a cushion for his head. I asked if anyone had called 911. They had.
It wasn’t long before the Emergency Medical Servises ambulance arrived.
The EMS quickly had him hooked up to diagnostic equipment. By then the fallen man was conscious and alert. Over his objections, they loaded him into the ambulance and left.
I’m trying hard to find the bright spot in today. I’m thankful for all God has given me. At the same time, today has seemed great and overcast to me
