6 days into the season. I arrived early, shortly after 10:00 this morning and was dressed by 10:30, and ready to start at 11:00.
The first visit of the day was a mom, a grandma, and two in a stroller. It was just a “come and say hi” with no photos.
The second visit, with photos, was from four boys in their Christmas sweaters. They ranged from third grade through 9th grade.
A 3-year-old girl came into show me the toys that she was returning to Build-A-Bear. Mom said they’d be back later and dressed for photos.
I had a couple of (how do I want to say this) beyond middle age empty nesters, they came in for photos. They wouldn’t sit on my knee, which I think would have been a better photo.
We had two boys and a girl, all preteen, came in for a visit with no photo. The girl wanted a cat but Mom said no. They had all just come from getting vaccinations.
Shortly after lunch, Santa got a visit from a grandma, mom, and tiny tiny granddaughter.
I had a family of four come in for “just a visit.” However, when Mom saw how much fun they were having, she decided to get photos.
There was a little girl maybe two or two and a half years old walking in the mall with her dad. Every time they went by, she’d wave. Finally, dad brought her in, but she wouldn’t let go of dad, no visit no photos.
I also had a young boy with his baby sister come for photos near the end of my shift.
Ella had my supper all ready for me when I returned home. She had gone to the apartments community room to call bingo. She also had all the trash bagged and ready to be set out in the hall.
I brought home my white shirt and Santa gloves to be laundered. After I ate supper, I started a load of white clothes, including mine from work and all the whites from home. Once the washer stopped I put everything into the dryer.
Goodnight and God bless
