Santa’s Adventures

Santa was in the big chair from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. today and he hit the ground running. There were three families waiting for him at the set, The second one did not have photos taken. They just came to visit.

There were so many kids I really couldn’t keep track of them. Had four teens one boy three girls came to talk and giggle.

I had a 5-year-old boy who wants a dinosaur with a button on its back that makes it talk. As he was leaving he said “Peace out Santa.”

A two month old boy came to visit and we managed to even get smiles for the photos.

Santa was visited by some older teens. She and he both ask for black eyeliner and a soul. I told them that I’d look for the eyeliner but I’m not Jesus I can’t help them with the soul.

Four adult men came into the set and sat on Santa’s knees to get photos taken.

The day ended with a set of twins.  They said “Do you know how old we are?” Well, they had already told me what grade they were in, so it didn’t take a lot of math to figure it out,  I went on the high side and I said “You’re nine.”

“How do you know?”

I replied, “Well the same reason that I know that when you first started school, one of you said that science and math was your favorite subject and the other one said something about drawing stuff.”  “What I’m  not sure if is which one is which.” Oki

And they told me which one likes science and which one likes art.

The trick there is that identical twins quite often choose different subjects that are their special thing in school. So it wasn’t a stretch to guess that one liked science or math and the other would choose more artistic subjects. It sure helps sell the idea that Santa knows and remembers them.

So many kids and adults, it was a marvelous day.
