In search of a small dinning room or kitchen table. We traveled around but found none that fit our needs.

Today we drove 19 miles in 1 hour 12 minutes with 7 places visited including home.
We struck out with buying a table. Oh, we will keep looking, just not today.
When we arrived home it was time for Mexican Train dominoes. Ella went while I opted to stay home.
This coming Sunday, January 6th, is Epiphany, the visit of the magi. I read the narration in Matthew’s gospel chapter two. As is my want to do, I asked “who, what, when, why, and how” as I examined the role of people within the story. The first question I came up with is, “Since the wise men were following the star, why did they stop at Harod’s palace?” My second question is the one I really want to pursue. “Why did none of the Jews (other than Harod who wanted to murder the child) seek the child. They heard the testimony of the magi. They even dug through their records looking for the birthplace. Why didn’t they follow up on that or even go with the wise men? I think that there is a sermon there.
Well that’s all for today. Come back tomorrow.
Goodnight and God bless
