Dear Thomas Williams:
Dear Residents,
We would like to remind all of our residents to please keep an eye out for Freeze Warning signs posted at the entrance of the community and prepare your home for the winter weather accordingly.

PREPARING FOR COLD WEATHER
NEVER turn the heat off.
Leave all windows CLOSED.
Stock up on food and water.
Watch for ice on the ground or falling from rooftops.

PREVENTING FROZEN PIPES
Always have your thermostat set to at least 60-65 degrees so that the temperature inside your home does not fall below freezing.
Let the faucets slowly drip. Flowing water help keep pipes from freezing.
Open cabinet doors under all sinks to circulate warmer air around the pipes.
Do not attempt to thaw a frozen pipe yourself.

Thank you,
MNGMT

Dear Thomas Williams
Please be careful this weekend. We will be under an ice storm warning. Let the faucet drip, open the cabinet doors under the sinks and set the heat at 64°. Notify management ASAP if you notice any water running from a building or inside an apartment. Be cautious of ice or snow on steps and sidewalks. Hills of Leander staff.

Dear Thomas Williams
Good morning residence
Please do not get out unless you absolutely need to! The sidewalks are super slippery. I had a couple of falls so wear non-slip grip shoes for safety. Overpasses are closed I believe, but still drive safely as some cars were sliding including mine. Stay warm and be safe and drip those faucets! Katherine and myself are in today, Freddy may not make it as he is traveling from Jerrall.
Love,
Lisa

Dear Thomas Williams
All, I forgot to mention you may want to fill up your tubs with water just in case we lose power, this will allow you all to flush the toilets. If you can please try to stay in your apartment and do not use the elevator in the event that we lose power.
Kind regards,
Hills At Leander Staff

SHORTLY after 10AM the power went out at the apartments. The stove, water heater, and furnace are all electric. Ella had just baked a dessert item to take to the morning coffee. It didn’t quite get baked all the way through but we ate it anyway.

Dear Thomas Williams:
As many of you know we have no electricty, according to Pedernales the elctric should be back on by 12:30pm. I will keep you posted.
Sincerely,
Hills at Leander Staff

The power came back on at about one o’clock.

Dear Thomas Williams:
Residents,
Due to the ongoing inclement weather, We are closing the office today, January 31st, @ 2pm. Depending on the severity of the weather, February 1st, our office hours are subject to change. Please stay warm and stay indoors!! Keep faucets dripping and heat on.
Thank You

But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”

THIS evening we went to the community room and played Mexican Train. After four rounds I came home. My nose was on a constant drip and I couldn’t stand it anymore.
