THERE were about a dozen at coffee this morning – again, not at the same time. I’m not sure what the topic of discussion was. Other than some April Fool’s jokes I really wasn’t paying attention. They were whispering to each other, so I guess they were talking smack about those at the other table. Another reason for me not to follow the conversation was because I was working on today’s flag (the image at the top of the page with the journal’s name and the date).

DAY 80°. Partly cloudy this morning then becoming mostly cloudy. Highs in the lower 80s. North winds 5 to 10 mph becoming Northeast this afternoon.     NIGHT 59°. Mostly cloudy. Lows in the upper 50s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

HEATHER arrived about 11:15. She came bringing lunch with her. She sat the goodies across our patio fence instead of carrying them the long way around through the lobbying and down the hall. She made white bean chili with chicken.
