WE had our usual breakfast of one egg, one bacon, and one toast. Maybe tomorrow I’ll shake things up and have grits too.

BEFORE going to bed last night I mixed up for DIY cake mixes in four ziplock bags. We’ve used store-bought cake mixes mostly for dump cake cobblers rather than cakes. I decided to save a buck-and-a-half and make them from what we already have on hand. THIS is part of a plan to attempt spending 💰 nothing on groceries for a month unless it is truly NEEDED not just wanted. To be clear, I’m starting this attempt with 5 dozen eggs 🥚 on hand. So I’m kinda stacking the deck. However we have full cupboards and freezer that we should be able to live out of for several months. Plus I have at least a months worth of freeze dried meals to fall back on. THIS experiment is prompted by two things. One reason is to save money toward a trip to Iowa in July for a grandson’s wedding 💍. The other to test our emergency preparedness before a real emergency 🦺.

GRANDIES
Anne, Ella, Sandra, and I held our Grandies meeting this morning. In about forty-five minutes we concluded the business portion of the meeting and had gotten caught up on as many of our members as we could. Ella led us in a devotion. It was then time for canasta.

It was a busy day. We left home at 9:30 and returned 4:15. We went to coffee, Grandies, home for lunch, and to Jenny and around for some donate we stopped at Murphy USA for gasoline. Them we stopped at Hill Country Community Ministries Food Pantry but it was closed. From there to Walgreens for Ella prescriptions and then to dollar Tree for bingo prizes. Final to home
