Coffee with Friends

? Name unknown, Fran, Andrea, Ann, Shirley, Sandy, Ella, and I were there this morning. There were multiple conversations going on at the same time so I couldn’t hear anything at all but noise. At some point the conversation coalesced into ‘snoring and CPAP machines’ but quickly dissolved back into multiple overlapping conversations.
Cloudy bright and sixty-four degrees this morning made it a nice day to have the patio door open. Ella sat out on the patio this morning while I worked on the transcription of my blogs into actual paper journals.
DAY 77° Patchy fog this morning. Mostly cloudy. Highs in the lower 80s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. NIGHT Partly cloudy. Patchy fog after midnight. Lows in the lower 60s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
BEFORE making our usual breakfast I started preparing lunch. I put ⅔ cup of dry pinto beans and 2 thick cut bacon strips (cut into ¾” bits) into the Instapot with 2 cups of water. With the lid set to seal I pressure cooked them for ten minutes then let them rest for an hour before slow cooking for four hours.
AN hour before the beans finished cooking, I mixed up some cornbread and pressure cooked it in a Pyrex bowl in our second Instapot for 50 minutes. Then switched to the air fry lid and baked at 350° for 10 minutes to lightly brown the top.
THIS afternoon I spent hours transcribing our blogs into journals. The journal began with August of 2010. In reality I began blogging years before that. However, those posts were apparently just lost when AOL stopped supporting them.
IT is interesting to take a look back at your personal history. Reading the events and having your memories fill in the emotions, colors and textures of those moments long past.

TONIGHT there were two tables of six players each playing Mexican Train.
BEFORE coming back to the apartment I checked the the in-house food pantry. I found a package of ready to heat precooked spiral pasta and a jar of marinara sauce. I had about a ½ cup of browned crumbled ground beef in the fridge. I combined them all and microwaved for a couple of minutes. That’s about as quick of a supper as can be done.
