THIS morning it was 64° overcast but very bright which would indicate that the clouds aren’t too thick up there but they sure are expansive, the breeze was dead calm. I don’t see much movement on the even the tall grasses. Everything is sitting pretty still. Including me as I’m sitting on the patio recording this. I have breakfast almost complete. Ella is out of the shower and getting dressed?
WE had some leftover potato gnocchi (potatoes dumplings) so I decided to fry them this morning so it’s almost like having fried potatoes.
DAY 78 degrees mostly cloudy. Patchy fog this morning. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the mid 80s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20%. NIGHT 68°, mostly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Some thunderstorms may be severe. Lows in the upper 60s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

We had thirty-three members for lunch (fried chicken mashed taters ‘n’ gravy, peas and carrots, grapes, and birthday cake) and most stayed to play games or just visit. There were too many to play the dominoes game “42” so they played “84”. Bingo of course, scrabble, and 5 Crowns were played as well.
WE arrived home around 2:30 and stayed home. I’ve spent hours on creating paper journals from the online blogs. I’ve completed June, July, and August of 2019 and are a couple of days into September. I didn’t know it at the time but when we headed to Texas at the end of that September, it would be the last time we lived in Iowa. A pandemic was already building in China that would soon have the entire world locked down and quarantined. We would not be back to Iowa for almost exactly a year. We would come back to tie up loose ends like selling our Iowa home and transportation our stuff to Texas.
ELLA called bingo from six to seven at the apartments.
