2026 January 02 Friday in Leander, Cedar Park, and Round Rock

PROOF OF LIFE PHOTO

COFFEE KLATSCH:  Dianna, Jo, Joan, Grace, Michelle, Sandi, Ella and I were at coffee this morning. My nose immediately began to drip like a faucet.

ALLERGY:  I knew right away that it was the dreaded Cedar Fever, a common and intense allergic reaction to the high concentration of cedar and juniper pollen in the air. Despite the name, there’s no fever involved, just a severe allergic response that leaves me feeling miserable. I hurried back home to take some antihistamines and DayQuil to help alleviate my symptoms. It’s incredible how visible the pollen is in the air, almost like a cloud surrounding us. It’s no wonder that many locals are affected by this phenomenon, as the pollen count seems to be at an all-time high. But with the right medication and precautions, I know I can conquer this Cedar Fever and feel like myself again.
