66° and sprinkles this morning

What a pallet of colors in the morning sky.

Oatmeal for breakfast.

Today’s coffee group at the cafe. We were late arrivals today because Ella slept in until 9. I had an intentional “do nothing” day planned. I wanted a day when I didn’t feel pressured to be somewhere or do something. That’s not to say that I didn’t do anything. The first thing I did was to remove the tool box

from the bed of the pick up. It is similar to the one in this photo. Except I have a plywood tonneau cover on my truck. Also the box and contents weighs close to 200 pounds. I did not empty it for unloading. Instead I used leverage and muscle to remove it by myself. Not bad for a 70+ year old man.

We stayed at the Cafe until after noon. We ordered “the heavy” pizza for lunch. It has everything … all of the pizza toppings. I ordered ours without onions or jalapenos. Because of my allergy to onions and Ella’s dislike of jalapenos, they had to go.

Our neighbor’s are getting new rock for their drive/parking.

I need a couple of large wood eye-screws. There it’s a new Menards in Grimes so we decided to look for the hardware there. We found that, though the parking lot was full, they don’t open until next week. The cars belong to all the people hired to stock the new building.

We need a candle for our worship service so we stopped at Wal-Mart in the off chance that they would have the hardware and candle. Ella found a battery operated very realistic candle and I struck out on the hardware.

The rest of the afternoon was taken up with nap and boardgames

I like the way that the dying sun was framed buy the free branches.

God bless and g’nite
