2022 April 14 MAUNDY THURSDAY

Day.        82⁰     Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 80s. East winds 10 to 15 mph.
Night     53⁰     Mostly clear in the evening then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 50s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Special Weather Statement
Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are forecast today due low humidity and occasional gusty winds. Fuel conditions remain drought stressed across much of South Central Texas. Residents are urged to exercise care with respect to any outdoor activities that could inadvertently cause wildfires.

There were nine or ten people in attendance today. Janet, Ann, Ella and I played canasta. It was Mel’s birthday celebration.  This will be the last meeting in our building for a while.

Over The Hill Gang (open to anyone 50 years of age or older) at 3307 RR 1869 (just behind Parker’s Corner Groceries), out of concern for our members had suspended meetings during the rising pandemic rates. We had reopened in a limited way a while back. We’ve been gathering to socialize and/or play games. We had hoped to begin serving meals again in April. However the city of Liberty Hill, who own the building, have taken over the building for city use through the remainder of April and through May. So … barring unforeseen circumstances … We will begin serving meals again on Thursdays (11:30) in June. Since we are not government subsidized, there is a requested $6 per meal. Members also often bring salads or desserts to share. Start marking your calendars for Thursdays in June.

After returning from OTHG we gathered for conversation with friends at the apartments

We attended service this evening.

Isaiah 14:1 The Lord will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land. Foreigners will join them and unite with the descendants of Jacob.
Isaiah 28:29 All this also comes from the Lord Almighty, whose plan is wonderful, whose wisdom is magnificent.
