2022 December 24 Christmas Eve

Day        35°     Sunny. Highs in the upper 30s. North winds around 5 mph.
Night     16°     Clear cold with lows in the lower 20s. East winds around 5 mph becoming northwest after midnight.
HARD FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CST SUNDAY…
WHAT…Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 14.
WHERE…All of South Central Texas.
WHEN…Until 10 AM CST Sunday.
IMPACTS…Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

I’ll admit that it is a little stressful to come home and find a hook and ladder truck in front of our home and an emergency medical unit pulling out the drive. Ella was alright.

Apparently a sprinkler line froze, broke, and flooded some apartments, hallways, and stairwells.

Water water everywhere
and soon to freeze.

We spent time with Arik and Beket this evening. Sofia was working and Jenny was called back to the hospital because of broken sprinkler lines. I helped make pigs in blankets for supper. Still made some sugar cookies.
