Coffee at the Hills

Dora, Fran, Ella, and I were at coffee this morning. Ella and I arrived at about nine-ten and left again at nine-forty.

PHYSICIAN

FROM 9:53 AM to 10:49 AM we were at the doctor’s office. The doctor seemed to not know why Ella was there. Which is strange because it was their office that set the appointment, not us. She checked Ella’s medication list and ordered a refill for one pill and a new prescription for an antibiotic. The refill will come by mail. The other needs to be picked up at the pharmacy.

WALGREENS PHARMACY

WE received notification that Ella’s prescription was ready. We had to get it before the pharmacy shut down for lunches. Otherwise we would need to wait until after two o’clock. We arrived at Walgreens drivethrough at 12:50 and received the pills at 1:25.

Supper With The Family

THE whole gang was at Arik and Jenny’s for the evening meal. This was the rarest of events all four of my children sitting and reminiscing with both of their parents. Fortunately the statute of limitation had expired on all of the misadventures. I loved this evening.

SCRIPTURE:  “In fact, to be distressed in a godly way causes people to change the way they think and act and leads them to be saved. No one can regret that. But the distress that the world causes brings only death.” –  2 Corinthians 7:10 GW
COMMENTARY:  This verse reminds me of the idiom, “Scared straight” which means to frighten (someone) to such a degree that a significant improvement in behavior results.
Their distress was not in itself the cause of  rejoicing; but by the nature of it, and the effect of it was too produce repentance unto salvation. – Thomas E Williams
