Coffee at the Hills

Andria, Dora, Ella, Fran, and I were the only ones to arrive before 9:30. If more arrived later I don’t know because Ella and I left for Grandies at that time

GRANDIES

We arrived at Cross Tracks Church right at ten o’clock. I took the back way to Liberty Hill because I wanted to avoid the construction on 183. However we ran into construction on 279 which slowed us down after all. We knew Anne will be on vacation for the next couple of weeks. However, we didn’t know if anyone else would arrive so we waited 20 minutes before leaving for home.

WE had seven very large, very ripe bananas so I made banana bread. Two large pans, actually. I think that we’ll take one to Over The Hill Gang tomorrow and save one for Friday morning coffee at the Hills. Ella asked if I was going to Friday them. I hadn’t planned to do so. Momma’s called nearly never had frosting. But this afternoon I made a butter cream frosting for both pans. It ended up with lumps. I even did the powdered sugar. How could it have lumps? Also it was very thin even though I followed the recipe exactly (a rarity for me).

I received this puzzling invoice

THE highlighted portion states, “Payment Past Due”. And then goes on to say, “Hi Thomas, your payment plan balance of$0.00 is due. Your account is overdue, please pay this balance immediately.” I read it several times thinking that I was missing something important here. I called the billing office and they were as confused as I was. I told them that I was not going to send them a check for $0.00. Once they decide on whether I owe them anything, I’ll decide if I’m going to pay them anything.

FAST TRACK

I know, I haven’t mentioned Fast Track in the blog for awhile. That does not mean we’re not playing it nearly daily. I just assume that nobody (who hasn’t played it) really cares to hear me mention a game that you don’t know. But for those of you who’ve played it (yes, Kara, Karla, Heather, and a handful here at the apartments – I’m talking about you) you know how unpredictable and addictive the game is.
