Coffee At The Hills: Ella and I went for coffee this morning and there was no coffee made. What we were told (though has not been verified) was that Annie got her mad on and said, “I’m done. Not doing it any more.” I hope that’s not true. I’d rather think that there was no coffee made and no people there, was because of the upcoming brunch at eleven.
LIFE CHURCH BRUNCH: the church just across the toll road from us had “adopted” The Hills at Leander as a mission project. About once a quarter they provide us with a brunch or lunch. There’s some hymn singing and a brief message and Bible reading. About 40 or 50 people attended
TODAY I spoke with Taylor. She is in charge of the youth. And asked if she was interested in having a Santa visit. She is. Hopefully I can work it into my schedule.

THOUGH it failed to appear on the day’s agenda i did do more prep work for tomorrow’s Sunday school class. Now that I no longer have a weekly sermon to prepare, I like preparing the lesson (rather than using pre packaged lessons). I use the same set of skills for lessons and sermons. Sermons just get a little more “jam”.
Give thanks to the Lord. Call on him. Make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him. Make music to praise him. Meditate on all the miracles he has performed. Search for the Lord and his strength. Always seek his presence.

SUPPER tonight at Stiles Switch BBQ was wonderful and a gift from Arik and Jenny. Ella and I split a meal of brisket, corn casserole, and coleslaw. Ella had the casserole and I had the slaw. Beket had just gotten off work and was almost asleep at the table. He is only slightly shorter than I am. It was good to visit with them. Sofia just completed her first week of college. She had been home four times since moving out. That was mostly for the boyfriend.
