🔴 BREAKFAST: We had oatmeal for breakfast. I like oatmeal. There is something about it that means home. Maybe that’s because I would never consider ordering oatmeal at a diner. Diners are for steak and eggs, a stack of pancakes, grits (with or without sausage gravy), soft biscuits, and chicken fried steak. But not oatmeal. Oatmeal is for home, probably when you are in too much of a hurry for bacon and eggs. Like today.

I know most people like milk with their oatmeal. I like my milk processed int butter first.

🔴 SECOND HAND SATURDAY:

These were the worker bees setting everything in place before the “shopping” begins at one o’clock. We didn’t wait to look through things. I’m trying to get rid of stuff not drag more home.

We donated two stacks of these large plastic drawers. Each drawer is 15.88″ D x 21.88″ W x 24″ H. One stack had three, the other had five drawers.

🔴 GRANDPARENTS DAY: Have you hugged your grandparents today? Or been hugged by a grandchild? Me neither. My last grandparent died about a month before I turned nine years old.

🔴 BAKING: I baked a loaf of yeast-free bread this afternoon. Technically it is a soda bread but nothing like the Irish soda breads that I normally make. This is more like a heavy sandwich bread.
