🟣 At 10:45 this morning, I feel as if I’ve already done a full day’s work, even though I slept until almost nine. After waking, I sat on the edge of the bed and entered all my biometrics into the blog. My blood pressure was out of range, so I stayed seated for a while and took it again. The second reading was better, which was a relief. Then I got up, fixed breakfast, and took some pork out of the freezer to thaw for lunch. After eating, I tackled a sink full of dirty dishes. I hadn’t washed any yesterday because it was Sunday, so I had Saturday supper, Sunday’s dishes, and this morning’s breakfast dishes all waiting for me. I washed and rinsed a dishdrainer-full, then washed and rinsed the second load. Once I dried the first load from the drainer, I had room to put the remaining dishes there. I really don’t like letting dishes pile up; I usually wash them before bed each night.

While I worked, Ella swept the bathroom and dining area. When I finished the dishes, I swiped the kitchen. The kitchen trash can was full, so I wheeled myself out to the trash bin and back.

Not all the trash is mine, either. The bin usually gets emptied on Tuesdays, so it’s unusual for it to be this full already.

It’s only midmorning, but between checking my health, preparing breakfast and planning lunch, cleaning up after several meals, and taking out the trash, I’ve managed to fit a surprising amount into the day..

Now I’m sitting outside counting clouds. See the photo below.

🟣A helicopter keeps circling the area to the west of us. I wonder what’s up?

🟣 LUNCH:  Pan fried pork loin, sliced potatoes with gravy, corn, and applesauce.

🟣 CANASTA at the Hills: Ruby and Ann Beat Ella and I at cards this evening. There were two tables playing dominoes games this evening also.

🟣 WRITING: I finally have begun book 6. I did a lot of research about horses before I started and have written and rewritten the first two chapters at least four times. I write it and then go back and read it trying to think. If I didn’t know where this story is going (like a new reader) would I keep reading? I was so focused on building the world and the characters that I realized I was missing the tension or drama that would make me turn the next page to see where the story was going. Hopefully I don’t have to do too many more rewrites before I get to chapter 3.
