Today has been a good day. It’s a beautiful day. The sun is shining and it’s up to 80°. It’s just right for washing and drying clothes.
We had rain water to wash in. Since the tub was outside and too full to move, we pulled out an ice chest to use for rinse water. I sat in a lawn chair, so I wouldn’t have to lean over. We also put the drying racks close by.
We didn’t have nearly as much to clean today, having done washing last week.
I hope to wash again on Monday. If we keep up, it won’t be bad.
It makes me feel good to accomplish this. I know my grandmother washed this way most, if not all, of her life.
Yesterday’s drive through the Texas hill country video finality uploaded. So fasten your seatbelt we’re going for a 30 minute ride, up and down and around.took the rice and bean mixture, that was yesterday’s leftover, added some taco spices and served it on tortillas with cheese and salsa. That made for a quick lunch and used the leftovers.also baked a loaf of bread today. That’s right, on the day that it reached 87°, I baked bread. Yes, the air conditioner has run almost all day. Since it’s still 85 degrees at 7:30 in the evening, I suspect it will run all night also.
- God bless and g’day.
