In Liberty Hill, Texas

Welcome to our daily journal. Share it with a friend.www.TomAndEllaJournal.com

tarting out as a nice cool morning and then climbing to eighty something. Reached seventy five by by lunch time. It topped out at eighty two around four o’clock. Honestly, though it probably was a good day to sit outside, we didn’t. The list of things we didn’t do is quite long, so I will not list them here.

ith my schedule too full of busyness (fixing breakfast, measuring out ingredients for bread in the bread machine, and even seasoning a steak for tomorrow’s lunch) this morning I missed the sunrise. So what I captured was this starburst.

etter than a flyswatter and more attractive also. I nearly stuck my hands through this web when I was taking the sunshine photograph.oday Ella and I got dressed in our Sunday-go-to-meetin’ clothes and went to church. That is we drove into town and parked in the church parking lot, where we could get a better internet connection. We then connected online with the entire worship service.short time later, we went to Sunday school on Zoom. It was nice to hear and see most of the class (some have no camera on their computer, laptop, tablet, or phone. Don’t ask me how that could possible be) it truly was nice to have a group discussion again.

Ella posted: This had been a good day and a bad day. We went to Church and Sunday School sitting in the Church parking lot. We came home for a good Sunday dinner, but now I have time to sit and think.

I was supposed to be going to church. In Iowa and seeing my kids and grandkids and nieces and nephews them there is my sisters. I like our Texas home, family, friends here but, I miss the ones I have in Iowa and don’t know when I’ll get to see them.

almon, leftover from yesterday’s supper at Arik’s, green beans, and seasoned rice for lunch. It was combined with fresh baked bread and then fruit salad as dessert.e followed an Amazon truck home from town this morning. The whole drive home we were wondering if he was delivering to us. When they didn’t make the final turn, we knew he wasn’t looking for us.owever, when we arrived home, there was an Amazon package waiting on the deck. My new set of awning deflappers had arrived. We now have four on each end of the awning. My theory is, if you are going to leave the awning out all the time, as we do, you better have it secured in as many points as possible.

Thanks again for stopping by. See y’all again tomorrow.
