Tuesday
In Liberty Hill, Texas
Welcome to our daily journal.
Share it with your friends.
- 7 months 19 days since we returned to Texas.
- 65 days being self isolated.
We barely went outside today. The most exciting things to report are the heat and the food. Hey, with self isolation, not every day can be a rollercoaster of thrills and chills. Honestly, most of today’s travels were from the recliner to the bathroom and back. The sun, barely over the treeline, has burned the sky to ashen gray.
Starting off warm and headed toward hot and hotter still.
Eighty degrees by nine o’clock. Sol is still in attack mode today. The clouds that fled in fear yesterday must be cowering on the far side of the globe. Not a single smoky puff of vapor has been brave enough to face Sol’s scorching gaze.As he rises higher in the arc of the sky, even the shadows are retreating, to hide near the roots below the trees. As for myself, though I attempted some outdoor chores earlier, I too have retreated indoors. With the air conditioner (set at eighty degrees) running along with the fans, I think I may try to nap away the day.
Bacon, biscuit, egg, and cheese sounded good to me. Though I should have made my own recipe rather than Bisquick directions. I had to eat my breakfast biscuit with a fork, because it was so crumbly.
Ninety degrees at noon leaves plenty of time to reach ninety six before five this afternoon. Will it make it or will it pass the ninety six prediction?
Homemade beef and barley soup for lunch. I cut some celery into it as well as some Progress Power Greens to boost the nutritional value.
Ninety six that feels like one hundred and one degrees by three thirty. We choose this times to walk to the mailbox and back (about 1/4 mile). Chances are that it 4Will not stop at ninety six.
Officially ninety eight degrees for today’s high. And I’m pleaded to report that even with that fierce sun beating against the western facing windows, they remained cool to the touch. The Double Bubble Reflective Insulation in the RV windows have met and exceeded my expectation. Thanks again for stopping by. See y’all again tomorrow. Stay safe. We love you.
- God bless and g’day.
