2020 May 21 foil or vinyl?

Thursday

In Liberty Hill, Texas

Welcome to our daily journal.

Share it with your friends.

  • 7 months 21 days since we returned to Texas.
  • 67 days being self isolated.

It was actually quite nice sitting outside before breakfast and again afterward. But eventually it became too warm for comfort.

Dawn arrived dressed in oranges and reds. It was nice to, once again, have a colorful, color-filled sunrise. Most of the morning had thin layers of cloud. Except to the south which had clouds that looked like they might have been carrying rain. If they were, they carried that water away, like a professional waiter, without spilling a drop.

I recorded about ten minutes of a dusty looking mockingbird this morning. I made a nice title page for the video, added music and voice over. But then I lost it. Accidentally erased before it could be uploaded to YouTube. Me? I’m fine. How was your day?

By the way, that’s not my photo. It came from Pinterest. Which probably lifted it from a official Texas publication.

I said yesterday that I might add the Double Bubble insulation to the outside of the windows in addition to the inside. Today I did just that. Two windows have the white vinyl side out and one has the foil side exposed. It’s an experiment. I am also concerned how they will stand up to wind.

Most of my Wal-Mart grocery order arrived today. The last couple of items will be here before the first of June.

It’s hard to believe that these two photos were taken only thirty minutes apart. Amazing that the sky could change so quickly.

Thanks again for stopping by. See y’all again tomorrow. Stay safe. We love you.
