2020 May 26 Sixty Four Pounds

Tuesday

Welcome, family and friends to our daily journal,

from Liberty Hill, Texas.

.If you don’t know the back story about these pop cans, go to yesterday’s post. That way I don’t have to repeat everything said then. This morning, Ella and I worked at removing the pull tabs (see yesterday) and crushing (by hand) four of the twenty plus bags of aluminum cans.We could have done more but, after four of this large bags, we were too pooped to pop. We had worked at it for about three hours.Having been crushed, the former four bags now fit into two.At that point, we loaded those two bags into the truck and also added our own four smaller bags of crushed cans, and headed toward Marble Falls. We drove through KFC for some lunch. Once in Marble Falls, we stopped at a small park to eat. Notice the marble picnic table and seats. What else would you expect in a place named MARBLE Falls? That entire truck load of cans weighted sixty four pounds and netted Grandies $16.00. The prices for aluminum must have gone down.Seventy seven point two miles later, we were back home. It was time for a nap. Thanks again for stopping by. Share this with your friends. See y’all again tomorrow. Stay safe. Remember, we love you.
