Be safe

Welcome, family and friends to our daily journal. Share it with your friends.

Long before the sun rose in the east, the moon appeared dragging Venus behind. Poor confused Venus. Part of the year she is the evening star but now she shines in the morning sky. By the way, I did not take the bite out of the moon. It was like that when I found it. And the same with that vanilla sandwich cookie in the package. It came that way from the store. Don’t look at me like that.

The sun was roused from bed, still wrapped in golden silks, as befitting his royal personage.

But soon Sol stood naked and alone in the sky. What need has he to be clothed, for no mortal eye can gaze upon his radiant glory?

We are half way through the month that is halfway through the year. I’m not sure how I feel about that. How about you? What do you think or feel about having half of this year gone?If I thought that the worst part of the year was behind me, I’d be rejoicing. But I’m just not sure that’s true. Every time that “the powers-that-be” have declared it safe to go back in the water, great numbers of people are eaten by corona sharks.

Whoever trusts his own heart is a fool. Whoever walks in wisdom will survive. (Proverbs 28:26)

Number one son was back on our roof today. He was unable to locate any obvious problems with either the compressor or the breaker panel. He, Ella, and I also discussed the time, in the not too distant future, when our life of living in decades-old RVs will cease to be sustainable. As they and we age, they will require more and more maintenance and we will become less and less able physically and financially to perform the maintenance. Our kids (on my side) had a conference call discussing what they thought was best for us. We also need to hear from the council of kids on Ella’s side. The time must come when we will need to chose one home base. Maintaining two fully stocked households is draining our meager resources. That may also mean moving from our RV to an apartment.
