2020 July 17 Santa?

Be safe

Welcome, family and friends to our daily journal. Share it with your friends.

For some reason I really like this vertical light streak..This is the least that I’ve weighed in a long long time. I know the reality is that I will bounce back up from this new low. I pray that I don’t bounce as high. Also that my next downward turn will move me lower still.Statistically, my ideal weight should be 160 pounds. So, 120 to go, right? Maybe, but 240 was the weight I felt my best at. That’s the weight for which I’m aiming.Once I’ve reached that goal, then … well … then we’ll see if I feel like dropping another 80 or not. I’ve got to say, I never liked being the skinny kid that I was.

Oops! Yesterday was Thursday. Thursday is Throw Back Thursday and I completely forgot about it. So I’m doing Throw Back Friday. And the memory I’ll share actually covers many years.

It is difficult to tell who is having more fun.

Our member owned campground in Iowa has Christmas in July every year. As Santa, I enjoy Christmas any time of the year.

Christmas, even in July, wouldn’t be complete without Christmas yard displays. The campground is no different. There are three prizes awarded for the best displays. There are crafts and photos with Santa. Then to close out the day, hayrack rides.

On a related note, I signed my Mall Santa contact today. It is a much shorter season this year, November 20 through December 24. I’m still waiting to see what safeguards will be in place. And there’s always a chance that government bodies, the mall, or the photographers might shut it down.
